QUESTION:

How has your work changed over time?

ANSWER:

Julie Says:

I have been fortunate to find more mediums in which to express myself. Further fortunate in that these combine well and give me infinitely more options. And I am ALL about the options!

Jen Says:

Long ago, one of my art teachers told me I had "lack of color control" and I was restricted to black and white only for an entire month. After 30 days, my first drawing had most of the 172 colors in my Prisma box in it as it was a veritable color explosion on the paper. She sighed and shook her head. It did make me more aware of color; over time, I believe my use of color has become increasingly deliberate. What I love with glass is that colors can stay pure and bright, one color, or tons of colors can be used and it is all acceptable. As I learn more about glass, how the colors react with each other and with metals such as copper and aluminum, I learn to push the envelope and become bolder in my composition and mixing of elements.
