First, Julie collaborated with local metalsmith/blacksmith/artist, Ray Hammer to custom build a strong, metal (upcycled metal!) base for the "wreath".

Checking the placement of the bottles from the top view.

Have to mark the drill holes on the flip side.

Adding the "bling"!

Wrangling all that wire to securely fasten the glass bottles to the metal frame.

Wires wrangled!

Hanging on the also custom built, reclaimed metal stand built in collaboration with Ray Hammer. The 'hook' is a wrench! Totally cool!

The finished wreath! The "ribbon" is copper mesh. The wreath is 100% glass and metal!

Other than the "ribbon" and the "bling" (beads and charms) the wreath is made from reclaimed materials. 11 bottles and scavenged metal.

It is currently residing in its forever home on Whidbey Island.
