50 Pairs of Earrings

Chosen to be part of a gift for international delegates in town for a peace summit.  The hosting organization wanted to share local art with the visitors.
Workshop led by Julie Mistaria.

Volunteers from the host organization came to be part of the creation of the more than 100 individual (tiny) pieces of art. There is skill required to understand how to compose a matching pair of ~1/2" "blobs" of glass. Further skill is required to finish the components into a professional piece of jewelry. It was a blast to have volunteers take some part in the creation and imbue the final pieces with their flair. A great group of people! The final outcome was to be 50 pairs of fused glass earrings on sterling silver posts. We had to create a few extra pairs for "just in case".

Group shot of the host organization's volunteers to help design the 50+ pairs. Truly great people!
